Grunsfeld Shafer Architects, LLC is a firm of experienced designers providing full architectural services including Programming, Space Planning, Interior Design, Sustainable Design, Conceptual and Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Observation and Budget Control. Other services that we provide include the selection, coordination and specification of all finishes, fixtures and hardware. Often the firm is retained to design and administer the fabrication and installation of custom furniture pieces. All engineering services including structural, mechanical, civil, etc. are provided by external consultants under our supervision.
Often we are retained to work with low voltage consultants, coordinating and integrating services including security, lighting systems, audio / visual systems, telecommunication, computer and data systems, etc. Frequently we are asked to design site features such as tennis courts, swimming pools, spas, Jacuzzis, cabanas, ponds, and the like, as well as sport courts, entertainment theatres, acoustical rooms, assist in the selection and development of window treatments, make recommendations regarding carpets, rugs, paints and other specialty finishes, help procure furnishings and accessories, and design and coordinate specialty lighting systems for art work and other collections.
